Treatment suite at Dental Excellence Chelsea

Gum health first. Everything aesthetic sits on that foundation.

  1. 1

    Listen and map

A calm assessment of gums, plaque, sensitivity and what you actually want from the visit — not a rushed scale-and-polish.

  2. 2

    Treat the foundation

Periodontal support and hygiene care as indicated, with time to work precisely rather than quickly.

  3. 3

    Show you the why

Emily’s stated focus is patient education: what is happening in the mouth, and what maintenance will keep it there.

  4. 4

    Hold the result

A simple home routine and review interval, so later cosmetic work is not built on inflamed tissue.

Clinical assessment at Dental Excellence

Brightness planned as part of a smile, not a one-off bleach.

  1. 1

    Check the canvas

Shade, enamel condition and gum health are reviewed first. Whitening is paused if the foundation is not ready.

  2. 2

    Set a destination shade

A realistic target is agreed — bright enough to lift the face, not so white it fights the rest of the smile.

  3. 3

    Treat under control

Whitening is carried out within therapist scope at Dental Excellence, with sensitivity managed as you go.

  4. 4

    Lock it into the plan

If composite or veneer work follows, shade is recorded so later restorations match the new baseline.

Close-up of a conservative veneer restoration

Tooth-coloured repair that conserves what is already healthy.

  1. 1

    Isolate the problem

Chips, wear or old restorations are examined in context — one tooth or a group — so the fix does not create a new mismatch.

  2. 2

    Match, don’t mask

Composite is chosen and layered to the surrounding enamel. The aim is invisible strength, not a patch.

  3. 3

    Place conservatively

Healthy structure is kept. This is additive work wherever possible, not aggressive reduction.

  4. 4

    Finish to light

Contour and polish are taken to the point the restoration disappears in conversation lighting.

Patient in the chair at Dental Excellence

A designed change to the smile, without defaulting to aggressive prep.

  1. 1

    Define the change

What bothers you, what must stay, and what ‘natural’ means for your face — before any material is picked up.

  2. 2

    See it first

Digital scans and motivational mock-ups are used so the destination is visible before treatment starts.

  3. 3

    Build, don’t strip

Composite veneers and bonding workflows add form where it is needed, rather than reducing sound enamel by default.

  4. 4

    Review in real light

Shape, length and shade are checked in the room, then you leave with a maintenance plan that protects the work.

Dental Excellence clinic interior

A digitally guided veneer method Emily both practises and teaches.

  1. 1

    Facial analysis

The smile is planned against the face — not a generic template. This is part of the protocol she teaches on faculty.

  2. 2

    Mock-up quality control

A trial smile is refined until length, midline and lip support are agreed. Nothing is injected until that is honest.

  3. 3

    Chairside injection-mould

Composite is delivered through a precision mould so form is predictable from tooth to tooth.

  4. 4

    Finish and verify

Excess is cleared, occlusion checked, and the result compared back to the approved design.

Waiting lounge at Dental Excellence

Scan, design, preview — so you are not buying a surprise.

  1. 1

    Capture

Digital scanning replaces messy impressions where the case allows, creating an accurate 3D starting point.

  2. 2

    Design

A proposed smile is planned on the scan — proportion, edges, and how it sits in the lip frame.

  3. 3

    Preview

A motivational mock-up lets you react to the idea in your own mouth before committing to material.

  4. 4

    Hand off cleanly

The agreed design becomes the brief for composite, injection-mould, or collaborative treatment with the wider team.

Emily Roscoe, Lead Dental Therapist at Dental Excellence Chelsea

Lead Dental Therapist

Built for the work therapists are trained to do.

Emily May Roscoe is a GDC-registered Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist. She qualified from the University of Leeds in 2017 and leads the therapy team at Dental Excellence UK.

Her focus is oral health, patient education, and minimally invasive smile work — whitening, composite restorations, and digitally guided veneer techniques. She is not a dentist. Care stays inside therapist scope, under Dental Excellence team protocols.

Since 2021 she has also trained clinicians with Avant Garde Dentistry, teaching injection-mould composite workflows and smile design.
